• Master of Science (MSc) in Nursing

• Master of Science (MSc) in Nursing/MPH/Equivalent in Nursing field. Ph.D. degree is preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum 15 Years’ experience in both teaching & 5 years’ experience in administrative work in Nursing College.

Additional Requirements:

• Ideal candidate must have Nursing registration from acceptable to the appropriate authorities in Bangladesh.
• English Language proficiency is essential.
• Computer proficiency in using Microsoft Office is required.

Responsibilities & Context

Job Context:

The Principal of a Nursing College is responsible for the overall management of the institution, focusing on both administrative and academic leadership. This includes formulating educational strategies, managing faculty, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, and fostering a vibrant academic environment to promote student success.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and vision for the institution’s growth and development.
• Oversee curriculum development, research initiatives, and academic policies.
• Ensure high standards of education in related nursing disciplines.
• Promote faculty development through workshops, seminars, and training programs.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the college, including admissions, examinations, and infrastructure maintenance.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies such as Dhaka University, Health Ministry, Bangladesh Nursing & Midwifery Council (BNMC) to ensure compliance and accreditation.
• Coordinate with university authorities for affiliations, exams, and policy implementation.
• Prepare and manage the college’s budget, ensuring proper allocation of resources.
• Identify and secure funding for college initiatives, such as research projects, infrastructure development, and scholarships.
• Lead recruitment, evaluation, and retention of faculty and non-teaching staff.
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration among departments.
• Focus on student welfare, career counseling, and placement activities.
• Encourage extracurricular activities, internships, and industry collaborations.
• Establish and strengthen partnerships with industries for placements, internships, and collaborative projects.
• Maintain strong relationships with alumni to enhance the institution’s reputation and funding opportunities.
• Ensure adherence to rules and regulations set by governing bodies and maintain college discipline.
• Implement policies for anti-ragging, gender equality, and other ethical concerns.
