Responsibilities & Context

To assist the Production Manger achieves the targets of the factory by ensuring efficient operation of the factory. The accountabilities are quantity, and cost of manufacture as well as efficient utilization for corrective and preventive actions.

The essential duties include the following. The supervisor may assign other duties from time to time.

Inspect the manufacturing machine and equipment and decides on allocation of resources for any immediate rectification /modification necessary to meet the objectives.
Reviews the daily production schedule for the section and plans work and personnel assignment for them with the supervisors.
Anticipates and determines causes of delays in section output and takes appropriate action to meet delivery schedules.
Reports promptly to Production Manager and to Production department when delays occur with esteemed time of delay and time of manufacture resumption.
Supervises and directs personnel on section in carrying out manufacturing operations according to sound manufacturing principles and company policies and procedures.
Develops among the section personnel a consciousness for teamwork to attain Objectives of Section and Overall Shift.
Ensures that the personnel in material stores keep track of all material required meeting manufacturing schedule and takes action to ensure availability at the time of manufacture.
Inspects machine on maintenance and gives acceptance certificate to the maintenance department.
Checks material waste against standard and institute corrective action as necessary.
With the Production Manager studies departmental performance to identify areas where cost standards are not being met, determines causes, and applies corrective actions.
Participate in implementing training of existing employees to develop their skills.
To prepare in process checking card and maintain respectively.
To maintain job, Register Book.
