Responsibilities & Context

Job Description

We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Product Manager to focus on tracking product development milestones and assessing team performance. This part-time role but may be expanded to full-time approximately two hours per day, primarily dedicated to monitoring feature development, reviewing commits, and assisting in product development tasks such as unit testing.

Key Responsibilities

Milestone Tracking and Management:

• Monitor and track product development milestones to ensure timely progress and delivery.
• Maintain a clear and updated product roadmap aligned with business goals and development timelines.

Commit Review and Assessment:

• Regularly review code commits to understand feature development progress.
• Assess the quality and completeness of the work submitted by the development team.

Team Assessment:

• Evaluate team performance and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the development team.

Assisting in Product Development:

• Assist in writing and reviewing unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Support the development team with tasks that improve the overall product quality.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Document progress and issues related to product development.
• Provide regular updates and reports on the status of product features and milestones.

Scheduling and Meeting Coordination:

• Create a shared calendar for tracking milestones and meetings
• Schedule team meetings to discuss progress and address challenges
• Ensure team members’ attendance and participation in meetings
• Coordinate with developers on feature development timelines
• Set up reminders for milestones and deadlines
• Regularly review and update the calendar

Requirements:

• Proven experience in product management, with a focus on tracking and managing development milestones.
• Strong understanding of software development processes and version control systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to review and assess code commits.
• Good understanding of unit testing and quality assurance practices.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently, dedicating about two hours per day to this role.
• Availability to work US hours, specifically from 9am PST to 5pm PST.
