Additional Requirements
- Experienced in product security, application security engineering, or similar hands-on security roles.
- Strong knowledge of web application security, including OWASP Top 10, API security, secure design, and secure coding best practices.
- Proven ability to write code and build automation using languages such as Python, Node.js, or Go.
- Experienced in designing and implementing security automation pipelines and integrating them into CI/CD workflows.
- Hands-on expertise in AWS cloud security, including IAM, VPC, KMS, security groups, container security (EKS/ECS), and monitoring tools.
- Strong experience with microservices security, containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud-native architectures.
- Proficiency in REST and GraphQL API security, authentication/authorization mechanisms, and data protection strategies.
- Experience with real-time detection systems (WebSockets, Kafka, Redis) and log analysis pipelines.
- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to partner closely with engineering, DevOps, and security research teams.
Responsibilities & Context
CADE is Axiler’s AI-powered Application Security and Defense Enforcer, built to protect modern, cloud-native applications from zero-day exploits, automated threats, and sophisticated attack techniques.
As a Product Security Engineer, you will be at the intersection of security engineering, software development, and cloud infrastructure — building advanced detection and defense capabilities directly into the CADE platform. This is a highly technical, hands-on role: you will write production-grade code, automate security workflows, and design secure cloud environments in AWS to ensure CADE operates at enterprise-grade scale and resilience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and implement security features, detection systems, and enforcement controls within CADE to protect web applications and APIs from evolving threats.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security by design across the product lifecycle — from architecture and development to deployment and operations.
- Build and maintain security automation tools and workflows to enhance threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response.
- Write production-level code for security services, integrations, and automation scripts in languages such as Python, Node.js, or Go.
- Develop and optimize real-time threat detection pipelines leveraging anomaly detection, behavioral analytics, and machine learning signals.
- Architect and secure cloud infrastructure in AWS, implementing best practices for IAM, network security, container security, encryption, and compliance.
- Conduct comprehensive threat modeling, code reviews, and vulnerability assessments across CADE components and integrations.
- Collaborate with threat intelligence teams to continuously improve CADE’s defense capabilities based on the latest attack patterns and exploits.
- Contribute to incident detection, response, and remediation workflows and enhance automation for faster mitigation.
- Advocate for secure engineering practices and mentor developers on secure coding, cloud security, and automation-first principles.
