  • Working experiences in Quality control Department in in renowned RMG Factory.
  • Quality assurance, Production and Quality control management.
  • Experience in Rohingya Camp Context will be preferred.
  • Ability to supervise production activities independently in a team and manage tasks on a daily basis without supervision.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate and manage a complex multi-stakeholder project.
  • Willingness and ability to work in hardship environments.
  • Excellent teamwork, and a proven track record of building trust within and empowering teams.
  • Diplomacy, tact and negotiating skills are essential.
  • Previous exposure to UN sector approach at field implementation level.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and reporting skills in English and effective interpersonal and negotiation skills, proven through successful interactions with all levels of stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Under the direct support by the Livelihoods unit of UNHCR, NGO Forum has been operating the jute bag and re-usable sanitary pad production centers in the refugee camps where a number of refugee women from the women headed families are engaging in these productions and also earn daily wages that improve the economic conditions of their lives.
  • For scaling-up the livelihood and self-reliance opportunities for the refugees in Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh, with the support of UNHCR, NGO Forum is seeking a qualified candidate for its skills and livelihoods services for the refugees living in Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh.
  • The main objective of this position is to carry out the duties and responsibilities of ‘Production & QC Officer’ for the “Self-Reliance and Livelihoods Project” in Cox’s Bazar in order to ensure that the productions of Self Reliance intervention is manufactured as effectively as possible while maintaining the highest level of standards and quality.
  • Supervise day to day productions in the center & ensure the quality of the products as per requirement.
  • Check the layout plan of the production house in order to achieve maximum production.
  • Prepare cost analysis of samples & final products.
  • Prepare purchase requisition with details specification of raw materials and accessories as per the production plan.
  • Responsible for each aspect of quality control (rejection rate within a satisfactory level, follow QC inspection checklist on finished product) of the finished product, production output & on-time shipment.
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure that finished garments meet established quality standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of finished products to identify and address any defects or discrepancies.
  • Supervise and lead a team of finishing staff, including quality control inspectors, packers, and shipping personnel.
  • Provide training and guidance to ensure the team’s understanding of quality standards and processes.
  • Communicate regularly with production managers, quality assurance teams, and other relevant stake holders to address concerns and provide updates on finishing department activities.
  • Coordinate, monitor, and maintain an inventory of all finished goods received from production.
  • Arrange for the dispatch of finished goods and take measures to transfer balances to stores for reconciliation.
  • Ensure the preparation of on-time reports for managerial decision-making.
  • Prepare reports, including the Finished Goods Report and Stock Reconciliation Report, to provide insights into the status of finished goods and inventory.
  • Coordinate with other trainers to ensure all required M&E is completed.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the Project Management Unit.
