Production and Planning Manager for an Automatic Corrugated Packaging Industry

• Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on sales orders, delivery deadlines, and demand forecasts.
• Ensure the optimal use of machinery, raw materials (paper reels, inks, adhesives), and manpower to maximize plant capacity and minimize downtime.
• Track progress, identify and resolve bottlenecks, and adjust schedules to accommodate changing priorities or urgent customer requirements.
• Supervise day-to-day operations for the corrugation, printing, slotting, and finishing processes in an automated plant.
• Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure finished products meet both company and customer specifications.
• Drive initiatives like Lean Manufacturing and other process optimization strategies to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and lower operating costs.
• Manage stock levels of raw materials and finished goods to prevent shortages or overstocking, which ties up company capital.
• Work with procurement to ensure the timely delivery of all necessary materials.
• Use Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software to manage and track inventory, production metrics, and resource utilization.
• Guide, train, and motivate the production planning and shop-floor teams.
• Work closely with other departments, such as sales, procurement, and logistics, to ensure seamless order execution and timely delivery.
• Set targets for department heads and production teams and conduct performance reviews.
• Prepare and present regular reports on production status, issues, and performance metrics to senior management.
• Manage and monitor the production budget, identifying and implementing cost-effective measures to improve profitability.
