Responsibilities & Context

We are looking for Production Manager in a mobile phone factory in Bangladesh who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing process, ensuring quality, meeting production targets, and managing personnel. They need strong leadership, technical, and interpersonal skills to manage a team, implement efficient processes, and address production issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning and Scheduling:

• Develop weekly, monthly, and yearly production plans to meet target output and delivery timelines.

Process Improvement:

• Implement Lean manufacturing techniques to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.

Quality Control:

• Ensure in-line quality in every step of the production process, from cutting and sewing to assembling, washing, finishing, and packing.

Team Management:

• Manage a team of production employees, including super-visors, line workers, and technicians.

Problem Solving:

• Identify and address production bottlenecks and ensure timely resolution.

Reporting:

• Prepare and submit regular reports on production performance, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.

Capacity Planning:

• Plan production capacity based on the shipment schedule provided by the merchandising or top management.

Budget Management:

• May be responsible for managing the production budget.

Labor Relations:

• Handle labor-related issues and ensure a positive work environment.

Training:

• Organize training and technical workshops for factory workers and service engineers/technicians.
