Requirements

Education

  • Diploma in Textile Engineering
  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering

Experience

    • 10 to 15 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Washing Factory

Additional Requirements

  • Age At least 30 years
  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience in woven garment washing (In export-oriented factories).
  • Strong knowledge of washing chemicals, garment behavior, and machine operations.
  • Proven ability to develop samples quickly and accurately.
  • Capable of independent planning and decision-making.
  • Familiarity with buyer requirements, wash standards, and lab testing protocols.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering or Chemistry preferred.

Responsibilities & Context

Washing Process Management:

  • Plan and execute washing operations for woven garments including denim, twill, canvas, poplin, etc.
  • Ensure correct application of enzyme, stone, acid, bleach, pigment, softener, and reactive washes.
  • Monitor and optimize chemical usage, temperature, pH, liquor ratio, and machine parameters to achieve desired effects.

 

Chemical Handling & Recipe Development:

  • Prepare accurate wash recipes based on buyer specifications and fabric type.
  • Maintain inventory and safe handling of washing chemicals and auxiliaries.
  • Collaborate with chemical suppliers to test and introduce new formulations when needed.

 

Sample Development:

  • Quickly develop wash samples as per buyer tech packs or visual references.
  • Ensure sample accuracy in terms of shade, texture, hand feel, and garment integrity.
  • Maintain sample records and communicate effectively with the Merchandising team.

 

Production Planning & Execution:

  • Independently prepare daily and weekly washing production plans based on order schedules.
  • Allocate manpower and machine resources efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Monitor production output, quality, and rewash rates; take corrective actions proactively.

 

Quality & Compliance:

  • Ensure all washing processes meet buyer quality standards and compliance protocols
  • Maintain effluent treatment and environmental safety standards.
  • Conduct regular in-line and final inspections of washed garments.

 

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and train washing plant operators, helpers, and sample developers.
  • Foster a culture of discipline, safety, and continuous improvement.
