Responsibilities & Context

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Act as the second in command to follow the production process, drawing up a production schedule; Involved in the pre-production (planning) stage as well as the production (control and supervision) stage

• Ensure that the production is cost effective;

• Decide what resources are required; Assist to ensure the production is completed as per schedule

• Minimize production waste and frequently develop new ways of production to optimize resources

• Estimate costs and set the quality standards; Monitor the production processes and adjust schedules as needed;

• Monitor product standards and implement quality-control programmers;

• Liaise among different departments, e.g. suppliers, managers;

• Work with management to implement the company’s policies and goals;

• Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed;

• Supervise and motivate a team of workers;

• Review worker performance and prepare performance standards

• Identify training needs of the work force and suggest to implement

• Knowledge on process engineering

• Knowledge on footwear components

Academic Qualifications and Experience:

Academic Qualification Experience: B.sc in Leather/Footwear/Leather Products engineering, or a related Field.
