Responsibilities & Context

• Production Planning: Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines for threads, trims, and accessories.
• Balance production workloads across multiple lines to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Forecast material requirements and coordinate procurement to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Efficiency Improvement: Analyze production processes to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions for increased output.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and improve productivity and reduce waste.
• Introduce and oversee lean manufacturing practices and efficiency-enhancing methodologies.
• Cost Management: Evaluate production costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
• Optimize resource utilization, including manpower, raw materials, and energy usage.
• Review budgets and report on cost variances with actionable insights.
• Production Oversight: Coordinate daily production activities with production managers to ensure targets are met.
• Address production issues promptly and implement corrective actions to avoid delays.
• Oversee quality control measures to maintain high standards for all products.
• Cross-functional Coordination: Serve as the liaison between production, procurement, sales, and logistics teams to align operations with customer requirements.
• Collaborate with the R&D and compliance teams to ensure new product introductions meet production capabilities.
• Maintain open communication with all departments to proactively address challenges and align goals.
• Data Management and Reporting: Maintain accurate production data, schedules, and inventory records.
• Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, efficiency, and cost metrics.
• Use insights from production data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Leadership and Training: Provide guidance to production managers and shop-floor supervisors to ensure best practices are followed.
• Identify skill gaps and arrange for training programs to enhance the team’s efficiency and capability.
• Sustainability and Compliance: Ensure production practices adhere to sustainability goals, using eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient processes.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
