Requirements

Education

  • Master of Social Science (MSS) in Sociology, Master of Development Studies (MDS) in Development Studies, Master of Disability Management and Rehabilitation (MDMR), Master of Arts (MA) in English, Master of Arts (MA) in Psychology

Experience

  • At least 8 years

Capacity Requirement:

  • Should have strong capacity to liaison with Government officials (NGO Affairs Bureau, UNO office, DC Office)·
  • Sound knowledge about beneficiary development and rehabilitation program·
  • Should have practical experience about child protection, child development and child rights·
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural office environment with dynamic people and beneficiaries·
  • Should have excellent command on computer and new technologies·
  • Must have good communication, leadership and managerial skill

Responsibilities & Context

Job Context:

Shishu Polli Plus (a project of “The Sreepur Village, Bangladesh”) is a humanitarian organization which is located in Sreepur of Gazipur District. We are looking for qualified candidates for the position of Program Coordinator-Rehabilitation & Livelihood Development Department for smooth admission, rehabilitation, development and release of beneficiary mothers and children.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identifying potential sources of beneficiary and performing all the activities of beneficiary admission
  • Creating network with Government/Non-Government organization for arranging/performing different relevant program, attending DC office meeting, visiting NGO Affairs Bureau etc. as per instruction of supervisor
  • Creating and implementing different strategy to keep the existing beneficiary in the project and increasing the number of new beneficiaries
  • Managing relevant documents of all activities in separate files and keeping record of all beneficiaries (existing, previous and new)Planning, organizing, updating and implementing the rehabilitation activities for mothers and children
  • Planning and organizing the training of mothers and updating the beneficiary training as per need and demand of the situation
  • Managing the literacy program of beneficiary mothers and ensuring the effectiveness by evaluating the program
  • Supervising and ensuring the release formalities of beneficiaries and observing/monitoring the after release status of released beneficiaries
  • Managing the job creation for beneficiaries and supervising their progress, liaison with different organization for creating job opportunities for the beneficiaries
  • Manage, supervise and monitor the overall activities of Dinajpur project, provide suggestion as per need, appraise the performance of the project and report the status to the senior management
  • Visiting field to search for new beneficiaries and to monitor the after release status of released beneficiaries
  • Monitoring and supervising the distance training (app activities) of released mothers and reporting the status as per need
  • Providing long tern support to the beneficiary adult children, keep their record and monitor them according, providing support as per rules of SPP in their crisis time
  • Monitoring the overall situation of the beneficiary children and helping them to providing support to organize their personal and professional life
  • Ensuring the data entry in BIMS software and ensuring the effective use of Apps for beneficiary development, providing feedback on software performance in regular basis and make solution with the concern of management
  • Attending different day observation and program (internal & external) as per instruction of the supervisor and strictly observing the supervisor’s instruction
  • Supervising the overall activities and staff of Rehabilitation and Livelihood Development Department
  • Preparing different reports to meet the expectation of different internal and external stakeholders and attending different internal and external meetings
  • Organizing the activities of rehabilitation and livelihood development department with coordination of other department and maintaining the safeguarding issues as per policy of the organization
  • Updating and reorganizing the operational policy and procedures as per need and demand of the situation and searching for new development opportunities
  • Performing the responsibilities of different committee steer/member as per instruction of the management
  • Performing all other duties as a department head as per instruction of the supervisor and authority
