Responsibilities & Context

Responsible for:

Programme Management:

  • Directly manage and coordinate the FDIP project and field offices in Gaibandha, Kurigrama and Chilmari.
  • Ensure that the programme is implemented according to the approved proposal and following the donor and organizational requirements and the agreed work plan.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings with the Project personnel, Sectors and Central Service Unit (CSU)s, Field office etc. on progress, learning, analyze challenges, and identify mitigation measures.
  • Prepare reports as per the requirement of donor, Friendship and FDIP project. Such as – quarterly, annual, Project update for Strategic planning report etc.
  • Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning:
  • Monitor program and all services of the project and ensure quality and regular success.
  • Guide the M&E focal of the project on the implementation of the M&E framework and data management and information systems.
  • Coordinate monitoring, evaluation, and research in order to assess the results of implementation.
  • Advocacy activities to Support Disability Inclusion Project activities:
  • Develop advocacy strategy and action plan for the Disability Inclusion project “Friendship Disability Inclusive Development (FDIP).
  • Support the design and collaborate with strategic partners, INGOs, NGOs and DPOs.
  • Coordinate the advocacy activity implementation of the project in line with the activity work plan.
  • Establish and maintain contacts with various Ministries, Departments/Directorates, semi-government agencies or any relevant government and non-government or private stakeholders, strategic partners and community stakeholders.
  • Organize advocacy meetings with various stakeholders (govt. non-govt, private and media outreach); prepare supporting documents and arrange all media contacts.
  • Build information networks; plan and oversee maintenance of publicly accessible information materials of FDIP project.
  • Develop, maintain and update (on regular basis) advocacy contacts and database.
  • Prepare high quality project or advocacy reports which include: monthly, quarterly, annual and other reports as per the need of the FDIP project, Organization and donor.
  • Visits to the project areas to facilitate the activities (at national and local level).

Networking & stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build relationships with various networks and consortium members & organizations, implementing partners, DPOs/ODPs, INGOs, NGOs and relevant stakeholders;
  • Ensure adequate communication and learning of the FDIP project are disseminated internally and externally;
  • Work on a range of advocacy and outreach issues; explore possible advocacy partners and maintain liaison, initiate new communication and nurture public relations issues for FDIP project with consultation with line manager, Technical Lead and Senior Director.

Advocacy material development:

  • Draft communications and advocacy materials for the Disability Inclusion project “Friendship Disability Inclusive Development (FDIP)” and any required initiatives of FDIP team, including newsletters, reports, promotional materials, and talking points for the team.

Other:

  • Responsible to provide high quality output as per the agreed plan in due time.
  • Capacity development of FDIP project staff.
  • Explore, develop and maintain good relations with project staff and beneficiaries.
  • Ensure teamwork, consultation and communication, innovation by team members.
  • Ensure safeguarding in every aspect of responsibility as per organizational policy.
  • Other duties as required.

Activities:

  • Coordinate and regular follow-up field offices.
  • Prepare reports as per the requirement of donor, Friendship and FDIP project. Such as – quarterly, annual, Project update for Strategic planning report etc.
  • Develop advocacy strategy and action plan for the Disability Inclusion project.
  • Support the design and collaborate with strategic partners.

    Rapport Building with various Ministries, Departments/Directorates, semi-government agencies etc.

  • Develop advocacy related documents eg. letters, proposal, one pager, presentations etc.
  • Build information networks; plan and oversee maintenance of publicly accessible information materials of FDIP project.

Skill and Competencies:

  • Master’s degree in Social Sciences/ Relevant fields
  • Written and speaking fluency in English and Bengali.
  • Strong report writing and communication skills including written and verbal
  • 5/6 years of experience at the development sector.
  • Strong presentation and communication.
  • Good connection with different government bodies for develop networking, organizing meeting, workshop etc.
  • Strong interpersonal skill and leadership skills.
  • Experience in advocating for the needs and aspirations of vulnerable population groups.
