Responsibilities & Context
The British High Commission, Dhaka is seeking a Programme Officer. The Programme officer role covers a wide range of activities to support the delivery of FCDO projects, their objectives and the smooth delivery of programmes. They are empowered to help deliver highly effective programmes. The Programme Officer can act a Project Officer on several non-complex projects, working in support of others, including technical advisers, Programme Managers, Programme Responsible Owners and Senior Responsible Owners. The Programme Officer may also be designated as a PRO, particularly in the closing stages of a programme. They adhere to and can advise colleagues on FCDO Programme Operating Framework rules, compliance, and standards on key accountability issues. You will role model flexibility and agility and take on different tasks and responsibilities to deliver business needs to ensure BHC Dhaka’s portfolio is best in class. You will also need to demonstrate how you will apply your skills as the BHC Dhaka portfolio continues to transition to a beyond aid model.
