Responsibilities & Context
Job Context
Mukti Foundation, an NGO, is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Project Coordinator for “Emergency Response for Vulnerable People in Cyclone Remal Affected Bagerhat and Satkhira Districts, Bangladesh” project which has been implementing in the Southern parts (Tala Upazila, Satkhira) of Bangladesh and funded by Malteser International and ADH, Germany. The duration of the project is from 1st July to 31st December, 2024. The requirements for the positions are given below:
Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the accounting, finance and administration components of the project, including ensuring all logistical support of the project.
- Ensure consistency with the organization and donor standard operating procedures, policies and accounting principles.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly requests for funds, based on budget and cash flow projections, to ensure the project has all necessary funds for operations.
- Support in procurement activities of the mentioned project.
- Prepare monthly budget variance reports.
- Prepare vouchers (disbursement, receipt and general journal vouchers) for expenditures and ensures that expenses are reasonable, allowable and allocable to the project.
- Fulfill the financial rules and procedures of the organization, donor and government laws/regulations that are applicable to the project.
- Deduct VAT and taxes at source and ensure payment to the government treasury on time.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly and as and when required reports on annual tax computation, monthly Tax and VAT payment etc.
- Ensure proper recording of transactions in accounting software and maintain adequate documentation.
- Prepare monthly payroll procedures for the project staff.
- Manage all administrative functions of the mentioned project which include administration, procurement, HR and contracts management.
- Ensure project logistics systems including procurement of goods and services, transportation, store management and use of supplies in a transparent and accountable manner per the donor policies.
- Maintain financial documentation, controls and procedures for the management of funds.
- Record keeping of partners’ management of funds and cross check source documents.
