- Deep professional and technical understanding of Accounts, its diversification, and ways to adapt them as per the requirement of donor agencies;
- Demonstrated track record of establishing and managing finance and accounting systems, overseeing, and working with audits; and strong familiarity with TALLY, corporate taxes, VAT and other related local regulations;
- Understanding of Government of Bangladesh financial, accounting and banking requirements
- Have time management, leadership, analytical ability, multitasking, facilitation; communication, presentation, and report writing skills;
- Have adaptability, teamwork, relationship building, and change management skills;
- Advanced IT skills, Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Experience in Tally ERP 9 software
- Very good command of MS Excel. Have outstanding skills and expertise in communicating by email and the internet.

Responsibilities & Context
*** Job Description:
Project-specific responsibilities:
- Manage financial activities, develop all financial reports, monitor accounts, and prepare financial forecasts of the project under the direct supervision of the project manager;
- Ensure all financial documents, including bills, receipts are safely and securely filed according to organizational procedures;
- Regular Banking correspondence, deposits and withdrawals, preparation of banking documents, and preserving bank-related documents daily i.e., Bank Reconciliation Statements, check book register, and any other Bank related documents;
- Ensure that all vouchers and bills are approved by authority before preparation of debit (cash/cheque payment)/ journal voucher and writing cheque;
- Preparation of payment vouchers with ensuring deduction of Taxes & VAT;
- Ensure all financial transactions, including bills, receipts and payments are recorded in time in the TALLY software;
- Prepare quarterly, half-yearly, and yearly financial reports as per organizational and donor requirement;
- Enhance the capacity of partner organizations/OPDs and SHGs on financial reports and document preparation;
- Maintain Procurement process as per organizations procurement policy i.e., purchase requisition/ proposal, Quotation collection, Work Order, and purchase receipts.
Safeguarding responsibilities:
- Adhere to CDD’s Children and Adults at Risk Safeguarding policy, ensuring the safety and well-being of all project participants.
- Promote a safe and secure environment for all participants and stakeholders of the project.
- Report any safeguarding concerns promptly and follow the designated reporting procedures.
Additional responsibilities:
- Perform any other responsibility/ special duty delegated by project and CDD management.

- The Centre for Disability in Development (CDD) is a not for profit organization established in 1996 to develop a more inclusive society for persons with disabilities. CDD simultaneously builds technical capacities of the development stakeholders and the communities in how to be more inclusive whilst also enabling persons with a disability to participate in society by strengthening their leadership and providing them with essential rehabilitation and other supports.

- This position will be recruited by CDD under a project titled, ‘ToGETHER-2.0’ to be implemented with the support of. The project is working to improve the economic condition of people with disabilities by accessing inclusive livelihood, mental health and wellbeing support. To implement the ‘ToGETHER-2.0’ project effectively, efficiently and in a timely manner, CDD is seeking a dedicated and skilled Project Accountant under this project. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Accountant will be responsible for supporting project audits and all financial matters related requirements, preparing financial reports, keeping assets record, maintain purchase process and expenses within the organization. The duration of the project is till April 2027.
