- At least 8 (eight) years of relevant experience in development organization with last 3 (three) years experience in managerial position. Priority will be given for managing regional project.
- Proven track record in project management and implementation skill and leading a team.
- Should have experience in working and leading partner organizations.
- Negotiating and managing problems and conflicts.
- Require skill in preparing report both in English and Bangla.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to operate with independence, under pressure, to meet deadlines and commitments.
- Proven ability to work as part of a team, and as part of a wider network, monitoring partner organization.
- Cultural sensitivity and ability to respect and work well with people from different backgrounds and disciplines.
- Willingness to visit and stay at remote area.
- Good in speaking and writing English.
Responsibilities & Context
- Project Summary: The project aims to contribute to the enhancement of knowledge, skills and perspective for effective climate adaptation and resilience building in South Asia. In doing so, the project will implement comprehensive capacity-building interventions designed to empower different organizations with the knowledge, tools, and strategies needed to combat the effects of climate change. The project will be implemented in a consortium with the partner organizations from Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Pakistan where CCDB from Bangladesh is the lead of the consortium.
- Project Name: Regional Enhancement for Climate Adaptation and Partnership (RECAP) Project.
- Role of the Position and Duration: (till 31-Dec-2026)
- The Project Coordinator will lead the project with the assistance from focal person for overall implementation, management, coordination, communication and report for the project. S/he will be responsible as primary contact person of the project including partner organizations and donor. S/he will be responsible to ensure best possible achievement in line with the ultimate deliverables of the entire project.
Job Responsibilities:
- Developing strategies, guidelines, plan and budget for the project implementation smoothly and timely.
- Coordination and implementation of the project activities in line with planned project outputs, outcomes and indicators.
- Monitor implementation process and provide necessary feedback to improve quality of services and project activities of CCDB and partner organizations.
- Analysis outcomes of project activities and prepare reports for project reporting.
- Building and maintaining partnership with national and international alliances to focus project success.
- Manage, coordinate and communicate with partner organizations and provide programmatic and technical decision for the smooth and timely implementation of the project activities at the country level.
- Develop and submit final report in prescribe format for donor and organization.
- Liaison with government agencies and keep good relation as a part of the project management and implementation.
- Prepares and monitors partnership agreements with implementing partners.
- Provide support in managing resources overseeing budgets.
- Organizes and leads regular team meetings and support in organizing meeting with focal persons and donor.
- Ensures strict application and respect of the Internal Regulations by the project team.
- Ensures technical learning from projects by drawing on lessons learned and good practices
- Coordinates and collaborates with relevant internal services, especially logistics, HR, finance, and technical resources
- Ensures that data related to the project is collected and compiled in the project database
- Ensure the participation and involvement of relevant stakeholders in project activities.
- Organize different capacity building training for the target organizations to enhance the capacity.
- Build and nurture effective teamwork.
