Responsibilities & Context
Bangladesh Nazarene Mission is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the Climate Resilient Sustainable Livelihood (CRSL) Project in the Southern parts (Mongla-Bagerhat) of Bangladesh. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination, implementation, and monitoring of project activities based in Mongla, Bagherhat. This role involves working closely with community members, stakeholders, BNM management and donors to ensure the successful delivery of project outcomes. The coordinator will also be responsible for regular reporting, comprehensive impact assessment, and ensuring the consistent monitoring and evaluation of project progress. The requirements and details for the positions are given below:

- Job Location: Mongla Bagerhat
- Start Date: As soon as possible
- Assist in the development of detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
- Ensure the effective implementation of the assigned project in line with the approved proposal and budget.
- Ensure that project activities are aligned with the objectives of climate resilience and sustainable livelihoods.
- Supervise subordinate field staff, ensuring they understand and perform their duties and responsibilities effectively.
- Guide SHGs for proper functioning, capacity building, and advocacy for government entitlements.
- Liaise with government departments to provide necessary technical support to SHG members in seeking alternative livelihoods.
- Facilitate the capacity building of SHGs and guide them in advocacy and lobbying for government entitlements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community members, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
- Consult with UP bodies to ensure the effective functioning of WDMC and UDMC in the project areas.
- Prepare monthly fund requisitions, progress reports, case stories, and other necessary documents as required by the project.
- Organize and facilitate training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge related to climate resilience and sustainable livelihoods.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with the project team, BNM management, partners, donor and stakeholders.
- Work closely with the Project Accountant to manage project finances, ensuring compliance with all financial policies and procedures
- Develop leadership skills among staff through ongoing training in development and program administration, visit each community in the assigned areas as needed.
- Work with HR to ensure all field staff have appropriate job descriptions, understand their roles, and follow up on their detailed work assignments.
- Assess field office staff performance and oversee annual performance reviews for all field staff in the respective project.
- Provide technical support for field staff to ensure effective project implementation and monitoring.
- Prepare appropriate checklists for all field staff to ensure consistent monitoring and reporting.
- Verify monitoring results by visiting communities, interviewing participants, and observing the application of project learnings in their daily lives.
- Collaborate with the Project Team to analyze and interpret collected data, suggesting necessary changes to project implementation or monitoring processes.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Program Manager or Program Management Team.
- Willingness to take on any other responsibilities as required by management from time to time.
Compensation & Other Benefits
benefits: Salary: BDT 40,020 per month and phone bill allowance. Upon completion of the probation period, will include gratuity and insurance benefits
