Master’s degree in MDS /Agriculture/ Environmental Science, or a related field.    (Academic qualifications and experience may be relaxed for experienced candidates.)

·   Experience with cash-based transfer programming and Livelihood Programme.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.

Must have Computer knowledge (MS Word, excel, PowerPoint, email, internet etc.)Strong in English and capable of writing quality reports in English is necessary.

Strong ability in problem-solving and decision-making.

Responsibilities & Context

Community development Centre –CODEC is a leading development organization have been working in the coastal area of Bangladesh since 1985. CODEC Community Development Centre (CODEC) is implementing a Southeast Flood response project in Noakhali district funded by WFP. At present CODEC is implementing ”Cash for Work’’ supported by WFP in Noakhali district.

The project will initially run up to 15 May 2025.

Responsibilities:

The Project Coordinator will oversee the comprehensive implementation of the emergency response project.

The role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing the project team, ensuring adherence to donor requirements, and providing regular updates to the donor and other key stakeholders·

Manage the execution of project components, ensuring timely and effective response to emergency needs.

· Coordinate with government bodies, local authorities, NGOs, and other partners involved in the project. Work with stakeholders to address challenges, share information, and ensure alignment with project goals.

·  Supervise and guide the project staff, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to perform their roles effectively.

·  Monitor and ensure adherence to donor requirements, project objectives, and relevant regulations.

· Compile and submit detailed reports on project progress, outcomes, and challenges to donors and other stakeholders.·         Maintain accurate documentation of project activities, decisions, and changes.

· Monitor project performance and impact, evaluating the effectiveness of interventions and identifying areas for improvement.

· Identify and address any issues or obstacles impacting project delivery.

·  Beneficiaries survey/ FGD at Community level·         Oversee the project’s response to emergencies, ensuring effective and timely intervention.

·  Modify project strategies as needed to respond to evolving needs and challenges.

·  PSEA Policy-S/he should abide by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC)’s six core principles on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policy.

·  Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse – PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program’s goals on safeguarding implementation.

· Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment·         Ensure environmental safeguarding and ‘Do-no-harm’ approach for cash for work activities;

·  Cash for work time is scheduled considering the convenience of beneficiaries and must be completed before dark—no work at night or very early morning·

Having ability to Conduct/facilitate RRA/CRA process;

Ensure safety-security equipment, first-aid box, facilities, temporary toilet for male and female separately, breastfeeding place, child play zone, pure drinking water, resting shade, adequate crowd control arrangements etc. nearby the cash for work site;

Complete the whole work within the time frame
