• With minimum 3 years work experience of which 2 years’ experience in similar works.·        
• Good reporting skill in English and verbal & written communication with the donors and other agency.·        
• Excellent skills using commonly used software MS Word, MS Excel, internet and email communication.·        
• Field level monitoring skill.·        
• Excellent communications skills.·        
• Works well under stress and meet deadlines·       
•  Able to work and solve problems independently·        
• Should have valid driving license and be willing to drive motorcycles.·        
• Must have quick decision making and problem-solving capability.·        
• Candidate should have positive attitude regarding Gender/PSEA, Child Safe Guarding and Code of Conduct.·

Responsibilities & Context

Village Education Resource Center (VERC) is a national level voluntary organization which is registered by the NGOAB (Reg-133), Social Welfare Department (Reg-Dha-02282) and MRA (Reg-01275-00523-00017). In partnership with WaterAid Bangladesh, Village Education Resource Center (VERC) is going to implement a project titled “Scaling up access to WASH -Building a resilient and sustainable apparel sector Project” at Savar Upzila under Dhaka District. Recruitment against the following project position will be made for implementation of the project interventions.

Major Responsibilities:·        

• The Project Engineer is responsible in designing and drawing, BoQ, planning and managing rural small-scale infrastructure, installation of WASH facilities, proper operation and maintenance.·       
•  Assist in planning and organizing project hardware intervention, guide project staff and community on hardware implementation.·        
• Prepare BoQ of WASH related hardware interventions like; Community toilet, school toilet, public water points hand washing station etc·        
• Prepare design by using AutoCAD (2D, 3D) of WASH related hardware interventions like; Community toilet, school toilet, public water points hand washing station etc·        
• lead all aspects of implementation of structural activities.·        
• Ensure quality of structural work as per project requirements as well as water quality and environmental issues related to hardware installation.·        
• Ensure climate resilient technology, quality of materials and workmanship.·        
• Assist project team in planning and implementation of the project activities with due procedure.·       
• Liaison with DPHE, DPHE water quality Lab, LGIs, ITN BUET and WaterAid Bangladesh focal as per need.

Compensation & Other Benefits

Monthly salary range: 43,000-45,000 TK. (Monthly)
