Responsibilities & Context

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer specializing in finishing works for construction projects. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of hands-on experience in managing and executing interior and exterior finishing works, including but not limited to painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling installations, and joinery. The Project Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and high-quality completion of finishing stages, adhering to project specifications, safety standards, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the execution of finishing works on construction projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and team members to ensure all finishing tasks such as painting, flooring, plastering, and installation of ceilings, doors, and windows are completed to the highest standards.
• Review and interpret architectural plans, shop drawings, and material specifications to ensure finishing works are aligned with project requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor the quality of workmanship and ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Resolve any technical issues or on-site challenges related to finishing works in a timely manner.
• Prepare and submit progress reports, work schedules, and quality assurance documentation to project managers and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to propose value-engineered solutions for finishing details.
• Ensure materials and resources are effectively utilized, avoiding wastage and optimizing productivity.
• Manage the handover process, ensuring that finishing works are completed to the satisfaction of clients and stakeholders.
