Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or Masters in any discipline from any recognized university.
• Any third division/class/GPA less than 2.5 in academic career is not eligible.
• For medical graduates, minimum 1 year management experience in any health care project.
• For others, minimum 5 years working experience in any health care project with at least 2 years of management experience.

Experience

• At least 5 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
  NGO, Development Agency

Additional Requirements

• Age at most 50 years

• Ability to work with government and development partners.
• Ability to work independently, in a team and In community.
• Adequate knowledge on health and social structures of Bangladesh.
• Strong administrative, management and motivational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skill.
• Good oral and written communication skill in both Bangla & English.
• Good computer skills (MS Office, power point and MS Excel).
• Valid Motorcycle driving license and willingness to drive motorcycle.

Responsibilities & Context

Job Context:

This is a project-based position. Place of posting is Cox’s Bazar with frequent field visit in project areas of Ramu and Cox’s Bazar Sadar upazila.

Job Responsibilities:

Planning:

• Participate in policy and strategy development meeting.
• Lead the malaria team and prepare annual and monthly work-plan.
• Support higher management in decision making.

  Implementation:

• Ensure overall implementation of the programme according to plan and budget.
• Perform administrative and financial management of the programme/
• Ensure timely recruitment, deployment and orientation of project staff.
• Ensure quality assurance of malarial services.
• Ensure implementation of the surveillance system and EDPT at community level.
• Supervise and ensure distribution and using of LLIN among the beneficiaries.
• Ensure timely procurement and supply of goods & other logistics.
• Ensure uninterrupted supply of drugs, diagnostics and other logistics.
• FacilitateInternal and external monitoring and audit.

  Monitoring. Supervision & Coordination:

• Supervise all Activities implemented in field.
• Supervise all the staff working under malaria programme.
• Maintain coordination with Government BRAC and other stakeholders in implementing programme activities.
• Conduct planned visit to oversee programme Implementation at operational level and filling up the check list.
• Facilitate periodic visits by NMEP, BRAC, WHO, LEA. The Global Fund and other stakeholders.
• Attend quarterly meetings at regional and central level by the PR.
• Support conceded authorities and stakeholders for conducting Monitoring and evaluation(M&E) activities.

  Reporting & Dissemination:

• Ensure timely, complete and accurate reporting as per MIS guideline.
• Ensure any other reports to BRAC and NMEP as and when necessary.
• Safeguarding and PSEA: To meet the program’s objectives for safeguarding and PSEA implementation, make sure team members are protected from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation. serve as a major resource for help, direction, and knowledge on safeguarding for developing a safe workplace. To ensure that safeguarding standards are used in every course of action, team members should practice, advocate, and embrace safeguarding policy concerns.
