Responsibilities & Context
Name of Project: Initiative for Human Rights and Environmental Protection (IHREP)
Job Context
We are seeking applications from the qualified local candidates for a project implemented by PCC funded by European Union at different upazilas of Mymensingh and Netrokona districts. At least 5 years of professional experience on Community development, Social Empowerment, Livelihood development, Rights based interventions, Climate Change, Environment protection and Disability inclusion with any National or International organization.
Employment Status: Full time /as per the project life (Yearly Renewable)
Job Responsibilities:
Project Implementation:
- Develop and oversee project plans, budgets MEAL, and procurement with technical team/ purchase committee
- Ensure smooth implementation, monitoring and compliance with donors / internal requirements.
- Track and adjust budgets, generate reports, and facilitate partnership meeting for feedback.
- Build partner’s capacity, uphold gender/ diversity commitments, and engage experts on program issues.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Create a project timeline and set milestones.
Partnership Management:
- Develop MOUs / Contracts, evaluate partner proposal, and ensure effective project coordination.
- Monitor projects via field visits, feedback and evaluation, guiding partners in addressing recommendations.
- Organize learning workshops, support documentation and strengthen national advocacy linkages.
- Assess partner needs, design capacity-building programs, and guide policy development.
Networking and Linkages:
- Identify and collaborate with relevant organizations and stakeholders.
- Foster cross-learning, maintain linkages with policymakers and participate in advocacy initiatives.
Team Management:
- Assemble and lead project teams.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members.
- Provide guidance, support, and motivation to team members.
- Resolve conflicts within the team.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Liaise with stakeholders to understand their requirements and expectations.
- Keep stakeholders informed about project progress, risks, and issues.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and expectations.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Implement contingency plans when necessary.
- Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program’s goals on safeguarding implementation.
- Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Develop project budgets and track expenses.
- Allocate resources effectively to ensure project success.
- Monitor resource utilization and adjust as needed.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards.
- Conduct quality reviews and inspections.
- Implement quality improvement processes as necessary.
- Project Execution and Monitoring:
- Oversee the execution of project tasks according to the project plan.
- Monitor progress against milestones and deadlines.
- Identify and address issues that may arise during project execution.
- Travel frequently to the field (at least 50%), monitor progress and identify risks for timely action and early resolution.
Change Management:
- Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Assess the impact of changes and communicate them to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure that changes are implemented effectively and efficiently.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain project documentation, including plans, schedules, and reports.
- Prepare regular progress reports for stakeholders and senior management.
- Document lessons learned for future projects.
- Project Proposal writing
- Closure and Evaluation:
- Ensure that project deliverables are completed and accepted by stakeholders.
- Conduct post-project reviews to evaluate project performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Archive project documentation and share key learnings with the organization.
