Responsibilities & Context

Job Context

Samahar is a leading institute that conducts large-scale research with funding from the Government of Bangladesh, the World Bank, ADB, JICA, and various development partners. Samahar is inviting applications for the position of Project Manager from eligible Bangladeshi talented for the “Skill for Economic Transformation Project”. The Project Manager will plan, direct and run the day to day activities as well as strong skills and experience in maintain good working relationships with government officials, Ministries, Development Partners as well as divisional and district-level authorities and operations to drive the organization’s priority of enhancing the productivity and sustainability while ensuring the client focused environment and standard of quality. Lead the team by motivating them to their goals & support them in identifying their improvement areas & coach them to enhance their skill/capacity. Female applicant will get preference.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage and lead programme related strategic liaison with Government, development partners, and internally between consortium partners.
  • Lead the development of high-quality programming, annual plans and budgeting processes.
  • Ensure that an effective monitoring system is in place for achieving programme targets and sound financial management, ensuring that value for money can be effectively demonstrated to the donor.
  • Report writing; analyze data for decision making and participation.
  • Familiarity in local language of beneficiaries will be an added advantage for team leader.
  • Conduct monthly reviews of performance against the service plan, and especially the KPIs – discuss performance at the team meetings and agree / review specific actions taken to improve any areas of under-performance.
  • Facilitate network with local private practitioners, pharmacist, NGOs, Corporate Office and any other potential agencies to achieve expected targets.
