Responsibilities & Context

Ensure overall operational management for successful implementation of the project (quality supervision & coordination for quality implementation, Financial & Risk Management- 60%

  • Provide direct supervision and direction for the implementation of the Project to ensure that deadlines are met and activities produce quality outputs.
  • Ensure strong team-building effort among the project team.
  • Be in line with organizational strategic objectives and goals.
  • Ensure IRB country strategy implementation at the field level.
  • In close cooperation with the Programme management, lead direct implementation of the project to achieve the planned results.
  • Ensure a clear understanding of project assumptions by all project staff to aim at the effective and timely achievement of project goals, outcomes, and outputs.
  • Support team members, enable them to give of their best e.g. by encouraging and praising good performance, coaching, assisting staff to prevent or resolve problems, providing resources, tools and equipment.
  • Develop details work plan (components and activities wise) in coordination with project team.
  • Lead, manage and coordinate day-to-day planning, implementation of project activities according to the project log frame.
  • Manage the project – from inception, coordination execution, monitoring, reporting, and closure of projects.
  • Ensure quality and standards of technical interventions at every level of the project.
  • Ensure 100% delivery against planned project results and financial delivery targets in the work plan.
  • Oversee budget and carry out the monthly expenditure analysis, prepare reports and requirements of the fund.
  • Regularly follow up on the project activity, financial status, and work progress.
  • Maintain strict compliance with donor rules and regulations.
  • Manage and mitigate any risks within the project (financial, human resources, or legal consequences) or negatively impact the government or IRB’s reputation.
  • Ensure to implement different livelihoods tools uniquely
  • Ensure community-based group formation and group development & leadership development training, savings and credit management, linkage development etc.
  • Conduct regular visits to project implementation areas and advice and support field staff with the identification and solution of technical issues.
  • Oversee and provide guidelines in different assessments, evaluations, and other planned activities such as various workshops and meetings.
  • Establish effective internal monitoring and operational plan, monitor the working progress & ensure the project outcomes and impact.

Effective project monitoring and administration – 15%

  • Track project progress, and project expenditure against approved budgets, anticipate any deviations, and recommend and act on relevant and required adjustments.
  • Track the performance of the project activities and outputs against expected results and adjust implementation processes to ensure the project is progressing towards the intended outcomes.
  • Analyze the impact of the project and promote learning by documentation of best practices. Use this information to support decision-making processes.
  • Track project risk to timely adjust and implement the existing contingency plan.

Ensure effective reporting, appropriate archiving, and visibility according to the project need — 10%

  • Produce documents and analyses innovative strategies/best practices/new approaches, formulate case studies, knowledge management, and dissemination.
  • Assess project performance to identify success factors and incorporates best practices into project work.
  • Compile relevant project data, and prepare documents for creating the evidence base for climate adaptive livelihood practices, awareness and capacity development, claimed basic rights and SSN, & DRR.
  • Maintaining administrative/financial files and project documentation.
  • Assist with data collection, processing, and analyzing data from the field and produce information/briefs for interventions, strategies, projects, and programmes.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, interim, and final narrative report as per proposal for submission to donors in accordance with the reporting schedule and the required reporting formats.
  • Assure compilation and sharing of results, learning, and uptake from all the activities.
  • Assist project account officer to prepare the financial report of expenditure and updating from time to time
  • Ensure organizational visibility in different stages.
  • Assist in archiving the project documents (hard copy and electronic copy) as per IR guidelines.
  • Share different information to develop the project with the knowledge management team.
  • Developing need-based IEC training materials, leaflets, billboards etc as effective communication materials.

Ensures comprehensive and effective communication, coordination, and advocacy with different stakeholders -10%

  • Coordination & communication with project stakeholders, GOs, NGOs, private sectors, CBOs, Service providers & IRCO representatives.
  • Organize the project inception meeting with different level stakeholders.
  • Coordinate overall implementation of the program at the field level.
  • Conduct rights-related advocacy & networking with relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage the team at field level on-site and/or remotely depending on access.
