- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, including excellent internal consultation and liaison skills; facilitation and coaching skills
- Excellent analytical and creative abilities with strong results orientation
- Fluency in English and Bengali (spoken and written) is required
- Commitment to World Concern values
Other Requirements:
- Min 5 years of working experience in national/International NGOs.
- Willingness to work in the field at least 70 to 80% of the total time and mitigate the challenges.
- Able to drive a motorbike and interested in traveling in rural areas having a valid driving license.
- Applicant who has working experience in holistic transformational development, climate change, disaster risk reduction, good governance, Education, Water Sanitation & Hygiene and women empowerment-related projects will get special priority.
- Should have good interpersonal skills.
- Good command of Bangla and English.
- Sound knowledge on computer operating (MS Ward, Excell, PowerPoint, photoshop, Net surfing)
Responsibilities & Context
Project: Accelerating livelihood opportunities to build resilient communities (ALO)
Job Location: This position is field-based (Tala, Satkhira).
Reports to: Project Manager
Supervises: Facilitators, Supervisors
Purpose and role of this position:
Implement & monitor the project activity to achieve the output, outcome & impact. Enhancing the skill and capacity of ALO project staff, project participants and other stakeholders and promote their knowledge & skills on reducing Disaster Risk Reduction by disaster preparedness, introducing alternative livelihood, Agriculture, Climate Change Adaptation, leadership, human rights, justice, gender & good governance through education, advocacy, awareness building and non-violent social action, where World Concern Bangladesh is involved. Provide direction to the project staff and motivation to the stakeholders and beneficiaries for effectively achieving the program’s objectives. Providing all technical support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare concept note & project proposal for resource generation for the new project.
- Develop a program implementation plan.
- Prepare mid-term, annual and other periodical reports for donors and World Concern Head Office.
- Upload & update the information to the MIS system and World Concern SharePoint
- Responsible for networking with Govt. and NGOs to build up rapport relationships in the field.
- Develop indicators for measuring the impact in the lives of the beneficiaries and their families in the periodic, mid-term and annual reports.
- Develop ALO project staff for future leadership and take more responsibilities
- Ensuring that all core values are implemented effectively
- Organize donor, government and World Concern representative visits in the working location.
- Develop modules/materials to organize training and workshops as needed and provide advocacy to the beneficiaries.
- Operate emergency relief and rehabilitation activities.
- Provide direction and leadership to Volunteers for implementation of the social development activities.
- Ensure proper selection of Ultra poor.
- Organize and conduct training & workshops for group and community people.
- Develop monthly work plan, setting quarterly, half-yearly and annual targets and implement the activities to achieve the target.
- Monitor Preschool activities
- Formation of farmer groups and engaging them to the smart agriculture
- Formed & monitored Self-Help Group activities.
- Motivate Self-Help Groups to initiate their own IGA using their own resources.
- Elevate child rights through project activities.
- Build awareness raising on women’s rights & other social issues.
- Help the community for easy access to different Govt. provided opportunities.
- Ensure activities are properly documented.
- Liaison with different stakeholders.
- Organize and conduct training & workshops for group and community people.
- Collect and document transformational stories.
- Regular group visits, attend in group meetings and monitor the activities of members after providing them with training and other support.
- Develop monthly work plan, setting quarterly, half-yearly and annual targets and implement the activities to achieve the target.
- Prepare monthly numerical & narrative reports, half-yearly & annual reports and submit to the project manager in time.
- Any other official duties as may be assigned by the Senior Management.
