Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is an implementing agency of Japanese Official Development Assistance (ODA) operating in Bangladesh from 1974. With our vision “Leading the world with trust”, JICA with its partners, aims to provide effective support to promote development that will result in sustainable socioeconomic growth and poverty reduction.
[Brief background of the consulting services]
The “Development of Mediation and Civil Litigation Practices for Enhancement of Access to Justice Project” (hereinafter “A2J” project) aims at improving access to justice for citizens in Bangladesh. With the Law and Justice Division of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliament Affairs as the counterpart agency, the A2J project promotes the use of mediation and advances efforts to improve litigation practices. The Project started in late April in 2024. A Chief Adviser and another expert on Project Coordination /Donor Coordination (hereafter the “JICA Experts”) have been managing the Project based in Bangladesh. The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for supporting the JICA Experts to efficiently facilitate and coordinate with various stakeholders, simultaneously handling administrative and financial management tasks.
Duration: The contract period is from 14th October 2024 to 31st March 2025 with possibility of extension.
