    • Strong communication and organizational skills.

    Responsibilities & Context

    Consumers Association of Bangladesh (CAB) is a non-govt. non-political and non-profit voluntary consumer organization was founded in 1978. Primarily started as a social group to protect consumers from commodity adulteration and artificial price-hike it has gradually widened its scope to establish and safeguard consumers’ rights and interests in social, economic, health and environmental issues.

    Currently CAB is seeking applications for a project titled ‘Renewable Energy Promotion in Energy Transition of Bangladesh’. The overall goal of this project is to create a level playing field for renewable energy promotion and ensure equitable prices for consumers by advocating to set up a rational electricity tariff mechanism and increase energy efficiency.

    CAB invites applications from the qualified candidates for the following position:

    Position: Project Officer

    Employment Type: Full-time

    Location: Dhaka with field visits as required

    Reporting to: Project Manager

    Project duration: 01 December 2024 to 30 September 2025.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Support the Project Manager in implementing project activities, including workshops, campaigns, and policy advocacy efforts.

    • Conduct research and prepare policy briefs, campaign materials, and reports.

    • Coordinate workshops and meetings with CAB committees, CSOs, and journalists at the regional level.

    • Assist in organizing public hearings, media campaigns, and dialogues with policymakers and political leaders.

    • Liaise with local-level CSOs and administration to ensure effective execution of campaigns.

    • Maintain project documentation, including reports, budgets, and correspondence.

    • Assist in developing content for media outreach, including Op-eds and press releases.

    • Facilitate logistics for organizing events, workshops, and field activities.
