Requirements

Education

  • Master’s degree pass but MPH will be preferred.
  • Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the relevant field.
  • Maternal and child health/reproductive health relevant training. Applicants should have good computer knowledge, especially in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint, and excellent spoken and written English language skills are essential, as well as the ability to produce quality reports.
  • A valid motorcycle driving license is required.

Responsibilities & Context

Job Summary: The position is responsible for preparing activity budgets for each UH&FWC, developing, facilitating and monitoring the implementation of operational and activity plans in line with the SR-MNCAH Project objectives. Tasks include preparing regular monitoring reports, collaborating with local government officials to establish referral systems, and organizing coordination meetings. The Project Officer ensures the development and execution of capacity-building plans for UH&FWC staff and community mobilizers, and facilitation of training sessions as per project guidelines. H/She works closely with UH&FWC and UHC authorities, and advocates for the SR-MNCAH agenda. S/he will participate in supporting gender mainstreaming strategies, identifying and addressing gaps in project design, ensuring budget compliance, and integrating LAMB’s mission, vision and values considerations into performance planning.

  • Prepare UH&FWC wise activity budget for the assigned area and submit it to PM.
  • Facilitate/develop a UH&FWC-based operational plan for different activities as per the SR-MNCAH Project plan, based on the respective UH&FWC plan.
  • Facilitate UH&FWC MC towards developing UH&FWC activity plan; ensure UH&FWC Development plan for all UH&FWC s under the assign area.
  • Prepare a monthly monitoring plan to review the implementation status of the UH&FWC Activities Plan; conduct field visits to monitor the SR-MNCAH Project activity progress; and guide and provide support to the UH&FWC MC for such implementation.
  • Prepare periodic monitoring reports and share them with the concerned MDC and other concerned persons.
  • Work with the local level govt. officials to establish functional referral mechanisms among UH&FWC, UHC, and District General Hospital.§  Organize coordination meetings, and ensure required logistics support for such meetings.
  • Prepare monthly report on UH&FWC activities in the Upazila and submit it to PM.
  • Ensure UH&FWC wise capacity building plan for UH&FWC’s and community mobilize.
  • Consolidate UH&FWC wise capacity building plan and prepare a quarterly plan for assigned area.
  • Conduct/facilitate different training/ orientation for UH&FWC and community mobilization as per govt. guideline/project plan; consolidate periodic reports on capacity building for UH&FWC in the assigned area; maintain a database on capacity building events for UH&FWC’s.
  • Maintain close liaison with H&FWC and UHC, participate/organize coordination meetings between the SR-MNCAH Project and UHC Authority.
  • Advocate the SR-MNCAH Project agenda (especially on capacity building of service providers at UH&FWC through UHC officials).
  • Participate in GO/NGO Coordination meeting on UH&FWC under the guidance of the Program Manager and project team on the outcome of the meeting.
  • Support the Program Manager for the development/revision of a strategy for gender mainstreaming in health program interventions.
  • Assist midwives in identifying various gaps in the SR-MNCAH Project design and at implementation, provide inputs to address such gaps.
  • Work with the team and ensure budgetary provisions of UH&FWCs and other stakeholders as per the SR-MNCAH Project designIncorporate spiritual issues in own performance planning and reflect the same.

Compensation & Other Benefits

Around Tk. 42,800 per month gross. Other benefits include provident fund, festival allowance once per year, and critical illness and death benefit.
