WORKING EXPERIENCES:

· Minimum 05 years working with any developing agency.

·  Working experience will get preference with IGA, Livelihood, WASH, child protection, Rehabilitation, Emergency support, or relief distribution project implementation.

· Must have knowledge and skills in project implementation

· Experience working with community groups and building local institutions is an asset.

· Fluency in the Bangla language and local dialect is essential.

·  People management experience.

· Ability to drive a motorbike with a valid driving license·

Ability to work in different target groups·

Oral and written communication skills in English and Bengali·

Ability to work in a team·

Work under pressure and can take on additional responsibilities

Basic computer literacy using of Microsoft Office Microsoft Word, Excel & MS PowerPoint

Master’s Degree in Social Science/Sociology/Social Welfare/Economic/English or any discipline  from reputed University.

Responsibilities & Context

Resource Integration Centre (RIC) has been a national NGO since 1981 in Bangladesh. RIC is implementing Noakhali Flood Early Recovery Project in the Noakhali Sadar & Subarnachar Upzilla funded by World Vision, Bangladesh. RIC is seeking applications from potential candidates for the below position:

PROGRAM:  Noakhali Flood Early Recovery

Project Location: Noakhali Sadar & Subarnachar Upzilla under Noakhali District.

Post type: Contract (October’ 2024 – June’ 2025),

SCOPE OF ROLE:

• Staff reportable to Project Coordinator

• Staff maintain liaison with All Project Staff & relevant  representatives of RIC and WVB

• Staff based at Noakhali Sadar Upazila under Noakhali District.

Working Area: Selected Union underNoakhali Sadar & Subarnachar Upzilla of Noakhali District.

OVERALL ROLE OF THIS POSITION:

· Identify key community flood-affected clusters, establishments & households in the assigned union.

· Identify & finalize specific requirements required to mitigate the flood-affected vulnerable households following the project’s guidelines.

·Provide on-site guidance and support to community leaders during activity implementation.

· Day to Day follow-up of volunteer’s activities.

· Implement project plan in collaboration with partners and community·        Ensure community-based Child Protection mechanisms

· Ensure integration, cooperation and coordination among team, relevant government department and different stakeholders.

· Basic knowledge on WASH (Water Sanitation and Hygiene) and identify the actual WASH needs of community.

· Understanding of Ensure Arrange smooth distribution of supports (food, tube wells, toilets, roads, etc.) at the household level in correlation with community engagement.

· Arrange proper distribution of IGA inputs among vulnerable households for their food security duly approved by the local stakeholders.

· Promote the adoption of climate-smart practices and sustainable livelihoods within the community.

· Encourage positive behavioral change toward water conservation, responsible waste management, and other adaptation strategies.

· Assist with collecting data on damages, community demographics, livelihoods, climate perceptions, and project impacts.

·Prepare regular reports on community engagement activities, awareness campaigns, and beneficiary selection processes.

· Liaise with the Project Engineer, Monitoring & Evaluation Officer, and Project Coordinator to ensure efficient data sharing and reporting.

Perform any other duties assigned by the PC as per instruction from WVB & RIC Management.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

A. The Project Officer will be responsible for:

·  Ability to think methodically and to manage projects problem-solving skills ability to work to deadlines

Compliance organizational policy, safeguarding policy, procedures, and practices

excellent verbal and written communication skills negotiating, supervisory, and leadership skills complete knowledge of relevant legislation

regular monitoring in compliance with WVB guidelines

B. Responsible for WASH construction & community infrastructure development activities, cash for work, etc. tracing, writing, and reporting;

C. Other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.

Compensation & Other Benefits

Salary:  52,000.00 per month, plus other admissible benefits according to the program budget & guideline
