Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy/ Occupational Therapy will get preference. Candidates having Bachelor degree in Law, Humanitarian Law, Social Science, International law, Psychology, Political Science, Anthropology, Women and Gender Studies or any relevant discipline are also encouraged to apply.
  • Desirable – Master’s Degree in a relevant field and/ or Public Health.

Experience

  • 2 to 3 years

Additional Requirements

  • Age at most 45 years
  • At least 2 years experience of working on the same thematic preferably in a humanitarian context.
  • Working experience in Cox’s Bazar district/ Rohingya response will be preferable.
  • Excellent facilitation skills.
  • Experience working in an organization with specialty in functional rehabilitation will be treated as an added advantage.
  • Ability to work independently within a team with minimal guidance.
  • Ability to work under specific deadline.
  • Persons with disabilities and Gender sensitive.
  • Familiar with humanitarian principle

Responsibilities & Context

Mission 1:

Operational implementation

Responsibility 1:

  • Identification, registration, referral, follow-up, and case closure.
  • Prepare weekly plans, conduct door-to-door visits to support the identification and registration of persons with disabilities and with any specific need.
  • Ensure and oversee those specialized needs, including Protection, MHPSS, Physical and Functional Rehabilitation, basic health care, and recreational, are internally referred to CDD specialized Officers in compliance with best practice and international standards related to the safety, participation, and informed consent, non-discrimination and respect of beneficiaries, in addition to the confidentiality of his/her information.
  • Ensure that needs falling outside of CDD’s scope, including Shelter, Wash, and Food Assistance, are externally referred to specialized actors, in a timely, safe, and adequate manner, in compliance with best-practice and acceptable standards, and by use of the Inter-Agency referral form.
  • Upon relevant or adequate support and collaboration with Team Manager, MEAL Officer or CDD’s specialized Officer(s), ensure timely and quality follow-up of service provision, in line with the general guidelines on timing and frequency associated with a risk assessment.
  • In collaboration with Community-Officers, participate in establishing movement plans for Community volunteers and ensure on-the-job coaching of volunteers shadowing activities, from identification to case closure.

Responsibility 2:

  • Data Collection, Storage, Analysis, and Sharing.
  • Ensure the data entry and documentation of the cases are in line with CDD’s standard operating procedures on case management and data governance as well as applicable standards.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and confidential case files, including registration tokens (barcodes) and forms, through guidance from HI Technical Unit and MEAL department of both CDD and HI.
  • Upon request of the Field Team Leader, report on weekly or monthly achievements and issues in the implementation of the program, safely and ethically.
  • Attend monthly coordination meeting and discuss/refer, on an ad-hoc basis any challenge or perceived potential threat in the conduct of activities with relevant technical experts or Technical Staff; as well as Field Team Leader.

Responsibility 3:

Networking and representation.

  • Collaborate with CDD sectors and external service providers to ensure a coordinated and collaborative response to the needs identified at individual and community levels.
  • Support the Field Team Leader in the continuous mapping of services available in CDD’s areas of intervention, including thorough external service mapping assessments (questionnaire form).
  • In collaboration with the Field Team Leader, ensure up-to-date understanding of service providers operating in the area team members through weekly meetings and presentation of service mapping assessments conducted.
  • Establish and maintain positive and efficient relations with target beneficiaries, community members, community leaders, and service providers.
  • Participate in sectoral/or coordination meetings with other stakeholders upon request of the Field Team Leader.

Responsibility 4: Other.

  • Maintain positive work relationships within the team and promote team-building efforts.
  • Upon request, actively participate in training and coaching provided by CDD, HI and other external partners.
  • Ensure compliance with CDD’s technical standards and Code of Conduct.
  • Ensure PSEA and Child Safeguarding standards are upheld.
  • Mission 2: Emergency Preparedness and Response

Responsibility 5:

  • Contribute to the programme’s emergency preparedness initiatives, and in an emergency, adapt his/her working arrangements to contribute to an effective humanitarian response from CDD.
  • Take an active part with the emergency team to respond in an emergency including psychological first aid, identifying protection risks of vulnerable people, and providing basic information about available services, etc.
  • Referral to other services for emergency and comprehensive care, including medical, Protection, MHPSS, Shelter and Infrastructure, Site Management Service and other basic needs, also having the capacity to identify relevant protection services for survivors/at-risk persons and appropriate referral.

Safeguarding responsibilities:

  • Adhere to CDD’s Children and Adults at Risk Safeguarding policy, ensuring the safety and well-being of all project participants;
  • Promote a safe and secure environment for all participants and stakeholders of the project;
  • Report any safeguarding concerns promptly and follow the designated reporting procedures.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Perform any other responsibility/special duty delegated by project and CDD management.

  • CDD is now accepting application for ‘Project Officer-Service Linkage’ for the project titled “Inclusive Emergency Assistance to Crisis-affected Rohingya Population in CXB and BC, Bangladesh” which will be implemented with the support of HI. The duration of the project is till December 2025 subject to approval of the donor funding.
