Responsibilities & Context

Ensure quality, relevant and effective project implementations to bring about sustainable changes to the lives of the targeted poorest peoples. -50%

  • S/he will be responsible for field operation management and implementation of project’s interventions to ensure that deadlines are met and activities produce quality outputs.
  • Provide technical direction to the field level project team and beneficiary to improve the competitiveness of local producer, alleviate constraints to market access, identify new market channels, and establish linkages between producer organizations, businesses and markets
  • Be in line with organizational strategic objectives and goals.
  • Provision of IRB country strategy implementation at the field level.
  • Support team members to make them enable to give of their best e.g. by encouraging and praising good performance, coaching, assisting staff to prevent or resolve problems, providing resources, tools and equipment.
  • Identify potential market actors and business development service providers, and connect with producer’s organization for assured market and services.
  • Provide overall requirement in applying a value chain approach to ensure project interventions are targeted and responsive to evolving market requirements and upgrading needs.
  • Coordinate with other project staff to support households and to develop production plan according to market demand.
  • Identify areas for support and intervention related to the project and provide support to timely achievement of project goals, outcomes, and outputs.
  • Support the Assistant project officers in the realization of their work plans through guidance, regular one to one meeting, joint field visits, and monitoring their work plans.
  • Assess training needs of the community-based Women Entrepreneur Groups especially with respect to their knowledge on business and market development
  • Support line manager developing details work plan (components and activities wise)
  • Support organizing inception, coordination execution, monitoring, reporting, and closure of projects.
  • Support carrying out the monthly expenditure analysis, prepare reports and requirements of the fund.
  • Provide assistant to mitigate any risks within the project (financial, human resources, or legal consequences) or negatively impact the government or IRB’s reputation.

Ensure effective reporting, documentation and visibility according to the project need-20%

  • Produce documents and analyses innovative strategies/best practices/new approaches, formulate case studies, knowledge management, and dissemination.
  • Support preparing high quality reports (monthly, quarterly, interim, and final narrative report) both narrative and quantitative information and reporting on relevant indicators and outcomes in accordance with the reporting schedule and the required reporting formats.
  • Take lead in documentation and sharing of Impact/success stories and best practices to promote learning.
  • Compile relevant project data, and prepare documents for creating the evidence base for Climate adaptive livelihood practices, awareness and capacity development, claimed basic rights and SSN.
  • Assist with data collection, processing, and analyzing data from the field and produce information/briefs for interventions, strategies, projects, and programmes.
  • Assure compilation and sharing of results, learning, and uptake from all the activities.
  • Assist project account officer to prepare the financial report of expenditure and updating from time to time.

Effective project monitoring and administration-10%

  • Contribute performance of the project activities and outputs against expected results and adjust implementation processes to ensure the project is progressing towards the intended outcomes.
  • Assist analyzing the impact of the project and promote learning by documentation of best practices. Use this information to support decision-making processes.
  • Ensure tracking project and market related risks in collaboration with line manager to timely adjusts and implement the existing contingency plan.
  • Conduct orientation for key stakeholders on Complaints & Feedback Mechanism (CFM), Child Protection, Safeguarding & Gender Sensitivity issues concerning project activities.
  • Facilitate training, workshops, Meetings, sensitizing activities etc in different sectors for internal & external stakeholders, policy makers on the rights and entitlement & SSN issues.

Liaison and linkage with government, private sector, businesses, CBOs, and other service providers within the project area-15%

  • Coordination & communication with project stakeholders, GOs, NGOs, private sectors, CBOs, Service providers & IRCO representatives.
  • Mobilize and facilitate the engagements of stakeholders during planning and development meetings, workshops and other.
  • Engagement with key stakeholders for influence, learning and resource development
  • Facilitate establishment and strengthening of vital market linkages between Women Entrepreneur groups and other value chain actors in the project areas.
  • Identify public and private sector service providers within the project area whose services and activities may be useful and of interest to the project beneficiaries.
  • Coordinate with local communities, local government, and other projects in the identification and implementation of environmentally friendly, sustainable Enterprise or business solutions.
  • Conduct continuous market screening and assessments (including identification of market actors, and business agents) that have high potential to benefit the Women entrepreneur Groups.
