Requirements

Education

• Masters

Master’s degree in counseling psychology/clinical psychology or equivalent from a reputed university with excellent academic records

Additional Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills and adept at building relationships with different stakeholders
• Expertise in handling emergency cases
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in Bangla and English
• Proficiency in MS Office and the use of the Internet
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work with a diverse group of colleagues is essential
• Awareness of and sensitivity to cultural issues
• Understanding of the importance of confidentiality

Residential Position for The Savar Campus

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, couple, parent, and family counseling to the students, staff, and faculty members of the University at Savar Residential Campus of BRAC University
• Arrange, conduct, and prepare workshops and seminars on various psychosocial issues
• Undertake all kinds of required and relevant preparation for strengthening professional competency in extending the mental health services to the students, staff, and faculty
• Conduct research on psychosocial issues which can be beneficial for the university
• Prepare and submit reports of counseling activities as required
• Maintain professional ethics while providing counseling services
• Develop and facilitate new innovative programs on mental health issues
• Follow the American Counseling Association (ACA) Code of Ethics and adhere to applicable laws and regulations
