• Willingness to travel frequently between districts for supplier and farmer engagement.
• Need to work on night shift.

• Ability to work a rotating schedule, with one week on day shift and one week on night shift.
• Proficient in MS Office and familiar with inventory management software.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with a proactive, detail-oriented approach.

Responsibilities & Context

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Purchase Officer to drive efficient procurement and support our mission to transform the agricultural supply chain. This role involves managing purchasing activities, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and building strong, direct relationships with farmers and vendors to ensure a consistent supply of quality products at fair prices. The ideal candidate should be prepared for frequent district-to-district travel to engage with farmers and suppliers directly, fostering partnerships that align with our values of sustainability and fairness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source, evaluate, and establish relationships with farmers and reliable suppliers across districts.
• Manage purchase orders and track inventory levels to ensure timely replenishment.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors to secure the best pricing and delivery schedules.
• Monitor and forecast upcoming demand levels to ensure adequate stock availability.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align purchasing needs with project requirements.
• Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, supplier options, and pricing.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and maintain accurate purchasing records.
• Generate reports on purchasing activities, costs, and supplier performance to aid decision-making.
