Position Title: Quality Advisor

Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh

Position Purpose:

The Quality Advisor is responsible for implementing and continually improving the SJ quality management system at the country level. This involves ensuring operations meet high standards of quality and compliance with the SJ Business Management System (BMS). The role requires working closely with global, regional, and country-level quality teams to drive quality improvements, manage client expectations, and adhere to industry regulations.

Reporting Relationships:

– Direct Manager: Asia – Country Manager

– Functional Manager: Regional Quality Lead

Key Contacts:

– External: Government organizations, auditors, certification bodies, clients, contractors, technical associations, joint ventures, and industry partners.

– Internal: Country Managers, Service Line Managers, Project Managers, Global and Regional Quality Teams, and other functional groups.

Key Accountabilities:

1.Support In-Country Operations: Provide leadership and advice on SJ’s quality management system, ensuring compliance with BMS requirements. Conduct training, audits, and risk assessments to improve project quality and compliance.

2.Manage Audits and Certifications: Facilitate internal/external audits and certifications, identifying opportunities for harmonization and cost savings, and incorporating outcomes into the BMS improvement program.

3.Stakeholder Engagement: Develop organizational capability to ensure compliance with BMS requirements through communications, training, and integration of new partners into the BMS.

4.Monitoring and Reporting: Conduct QA activities, monitor compliance with BMS requirements, and oversee project audit programs, ensuring management decisions are supported by accurate reporting.

5.Continuous Improvement: Analyze QA evidence, recommend improvements, and collaborate with leadership teams to enhance project compliance and quality.

Ideal Person Specification:

Education & Qualifications:

– Degree or post-graduate qualification in a relevant discipline.

– Internal auditing qualifications (ISO 9001, 14001, and/or ISO 45000).

– Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable).

Experience:

– Minimum 3+ years in a similar role within relevant industries.

– Experience with quality management systems in complex environments and certified management systems (desirable).

Skills/Knowledge:

– Understanding of business drivers, management systems, and relevant ISO standards.

– Strong communication, coaching, training, and time management skills.

– Proficiency in English and Microsoft Suite (SharePoint desirable).

Competencies:
