Responsibilities & Context
- Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites application for the following position from the potential Bangladeshi nationals for implementing CODEC “Rohingya children and adolescents aged 3- 18 receive gender responsive, quality, inclusive education through the Myanmar curriculum and Early Childhood Development in the Rohingya refugee response, Cox’s Bazar” project funded by UNICEF.
- The Quality Assurance Coordinator (QAC) will contribute in programme design and assessment of the project activities to keep on track with quality benchmark.
- S/he will play a vital role to reach out programme outreach·
- In coordination with teaching learning officer s/he will design and ensure effective training for the capacity development of the teachers, volunteers and project staff and will follow up the implementation/ practical scenario and support accordingly.
- Visit the programme to supervise and monitor education related activities to identify gaps in teaching-learning area including pedagogical issue, teachers’ competency, teaching-learning methodology, proper use of materials etc and take initiative to resolve the issues accordingly.
- S/he will play a lead role in developing teaching & Learning materials i.e., lesson plan, training modules, handouts development, training evaluation checklist etc. and ensuring that deliverables are on track, on time and to the required quality standard.
- S/he will follow-up teachers, FAs, FOs, and technical staffs’ work plan and provide support accordingly.
- In coordination with finance team s/he will ensure budget tracking along with activity tracking·
- Maintain implementation and reporting standards and oversee the work at a different level.
- Provide necessary support to the monitoring team to prepare quality program reports for internal and external stakeholders.·
- Work closely with other program personnel to develop yearly training plan, lesson plan, material development plan and capacity development plan for staffs and teachers.
- Highlight education related issues requiring an immediate response and inform the Progarmme Manager·
- Guide the technical staff of the project to ensure the aspired quality·
- Lead, participate and contribute to internal and external training, workshop and conferences on the education sector to represent the project.
- Develop and maintain networking with different stakeholders including GO, NGOs, INGO and national educators as appropriate for promoting project activities.
- Review program documents and progress of training and field observation reports to ensure quality reporting.
- Ensure rigorous implementation of quality and accountability mechanism·
- Supervise the performance of reporting staff, providing clear direction and regular monitoring and feedback on performance.
- Support MEAL team to develop monitoring tools in terms of assessing pedagogical progress·
- Review, assess and modify all the students and teachers’ assessment tools.
- Responsible for all program-related information recording, storing, updating, and cross-checking·
- Maintain coordination with field personnel and teachers ensuring supportive field program.
- Attend in Education Sector coordination meetings, IP meetings and different meeting/ workshop and share meeting results/findings with the next management decisions.
- Represent CODEC in different working group i.e. Technical Consultation Group (TCG).
- Teaching-learning focal group, ECD working group or others for the better interest of the Rohingya children and project.
- Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation.
- Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
- Other tasks may be assigned by the Progarmme Manager as well as management as and when required.
