Position Summary:

Join The Asia Foundation’s (TAF) Global Information Services (GIS) team as a dynamic and experienced Regional IT Manager. In this high-visibility and influential role, you will report to the IT Director and play a crucial part in transforming IT operations across seven TAF Asia offices. You’ll have the opportunity to manage both on-premises and cloud platforms, including our cutting-edge enterprise platform, OneTAF. We are looking for a professional, knowledgeable, and confident individual who thrives in a collaborative environment, working closely with country office leadership and staff to drive impactful IT solutions. Position Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of up to seven local IT staff, providing guidance and support to ensure effective IT operations in their respective offices. Regularly document and track the progress of tasks and projects in each office, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Operations Oversight: Monitor and manage IT operations, infrastructure, and services in the assigned region, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
  • System Administration: Act in an elevated administrator role to cloud and on-premises processes and programs, primarily Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure. Manage account identities, access controls, and application policies.
  • Technical Support: Provide guidance and support for complex technical issues, collaborating with the local IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce IT security measures and ensure compliance with data protection regulations in the region.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers, assist country office IT staff with negotiating contracts, and ensure service level agreements are met.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs for the country office IT teams and coordinate professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports for the IT Director on the status of IT operations, key performance indicators, and potential areas for improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Cybersecurity Management: Work closely with the IT Director and Cybersecurity team to co-manage TAF cybersecurity operations. Assist with responding to alerts, detecting advanced threats, and remediating them.
  • Support completing high-priority special projects or other duties as assigned by Global IS or Asia Foundation leadership.
  • Participate in strategic planning and budgeting considerations for the Global IS unit.
