Requirements

Education

MBBS, FCPS (Part- 1) / MD (Phase – A) will be preferred.

Responsibilities & Context

Department: Department of Psychiatry,.

Applications are invited on an urgent basis for this position in IAHS-H, USTC on the following terms and conditions:

Ensures proper academic calendar of MBBS student.

Conducts comprehensive medical assessments and examinations of patients presenting with various medical conditions.

Diagnoses illnesses, develops treatment plans, and prescribes medications in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.

Monitors the progress of patients under own care, adjusts treatment plans as necessary, and provides appropriate follow-up care.

Performs medical procedures and interventions as required, including but not limited to injections, wound care, and minor surgical procedures.

Admits patients to the hospital and coordinates their care throughout their hospital stay.

Participates in daily rounds with the medical team to discuss patient progress, treatment plans, and discharge planning.

Responds to medical emergencies and provides immediate interventions to stabilize patients as needed.

Works collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, therapists, and support staff, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.

Consults with specialists and other healthcare providers as necessary to obtain input on complex cases or specialized treatment options.

Communicates effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to facilitate informed decision-making and ensure continuity of care across different healthcare settings.

Maintains accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients under own care, including progress notes, treatment plans, and diagnostic test results.

Ensures compliance with documentation standards, regulatory requirements, and patient confidentiality guidelines.

Reviews and signs off on orders, prescriptions, and other medical documents in a timely manner.

Participates in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient safety, clinical outcomes, and overall healthcare delivery within the department.

Stays abreast of developments in the field of medicine through ongoing education, training, and participation in professional conferences and workshops.

Engages in peer review, case presentations, and other activities to promote clinical excellence and knowledge sharing among colleagues.

Participates in academic activities.

Carries out tasks assigned by the competent authority.
