Requirements

Education

• Bachelor/Honors

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Environmental Science, Climate Change, Social Science, or a related field.

Experience

Additional Requirements

• Age 25 to 35 years

• Minimum of 1 (one) year of working experience in Research on Climate Change related field.
• Strong research skills, with experience in conducting literature reviews and data analysis.
• Familiarity with both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and research tools such as SPSS, NVivo, or Stata (preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Project Name: Promoting Climate Resilient Community in Bangladesh (PCRCB): Phase II Project.

Job Summary: The Christian Commission for Development in Bangladesh (CCDB) is a leading non-governmental organization dedicated to fostering a just and caring society since 1973. As part of its commitment to climate resilience and sustainable development, CCDB is seeking a Research Assistant for the Promoting Climate Resilient Community in Bangladesh – Phase II.

The Research Assistant will play a key role in conducting research, supporting fieldwork, assisting in data analysis, and contributing to capacity-building initiatives. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with the research team to achieve project goals.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct literature reviews and contribute to the development of research concepts and methodologies.
• Assist in designing and conducting field surveys, including data collection, analysis, and visualization.
• Support research report writing, documentation, and knowledge-sharing activities.
• Provide research support for the Scholarship Program, ensuring evidence-based program improvements.
• Assist in organizing capacity-building initiatives, including seminars, meetings, and conferences.
• Support the development of training modules and contribute to networking and partnership-building efforts.
• Assist in preparation, monitoring and evaluation of the work plans and activities of the project·
• Provide support to Prepare monthly, biannual and annual project updates regarding the research activities related to the project·
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor/line manager within the working boundary of Climate Change Program.
