Research Assistant (RA)

Track 1 — B.Sc. in CSE / EEE with hands-on experience in PCB design, sensor operation, signal acquisition, and data integration; familiarity with microcontrollers / IoT, Python, AI, and data pipelines is desirable.

Job Responsibilities:

• Sensor & Hardware Operations: Manage sensor training, calibration, field deployment, telemetry, and data pipeline integration.
• AI Model Development: Analyze integrated sensor data to determine optimal chemical dosages and develop AI models for automation.
• Fieldwork & Automation: Conduct frequent industry visits and collaborate with the Track 2 RA to build a fully automated Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) system.
• Documentation: Maintain research databases and draft periodic project progress reports under investigator guidance.

Track 2 — Bachelors in a relevant field:

Water Resources/Environmental/Industrial Production and/or Chemical Engineering with prior knowledge of Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) operations, water-quality parameters testing, and effluent monitoring.

Job Responsibilities:

• Sample Collection & Testing: Conduct frequent industry visits to collect water samples and perform conventional water quality testing.
• Dosage Calculation: Analyze tested water parameters to determine the specific chemical dosages required for efficient ETP operations.
• Compliance & Automation: Assist the Track 1 RA in ETP automation and strictly ensure that the final treated effluent meets Department of Environment (DOE) standards.
• Reporting: Manage research documentation, maintain data logs, and write project progress reports.
