Responsibilities & Context

The Center for Environmental and Geographic Information Services (CEGIS) is a public trust committed to safeguarding the environment. It operates under the aegis of the Ministry of Water Resources. CEGIS uses technologies like Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing to analyze environmental data and address key issues such as water management, land use, agriculture, climate change, etc.

CEGIS is currently seeking talented and enthusiastic young professionals to fill the position of Research Associate in several fields, including Water Resources, River Morphology, Geographic Information Systems, Remote Sensing, Ecology and Biodiversity, Socio-Economic and Institutional Studies, Agriculture and Fisheries, Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources and Administration and Finance.

CEGIS’s internal candidates would also be eligible to apply and will get preference. Candidates applying for this position must not exceed 32 years of age by the application deadline on December 15, 2024. Internal candidates will get preference.
