Department: Dept of Paediatrics.

Applications are invited on an urgent basis for this position in IAHS-H, USTC on the following terms and conditions:

Job Responsibilities

  • Conducts comprehensive evaluations and physical examinations of paediatric patients.
  • Diagnoses and treats common and complex medical conditions in children.
  • Develops and implements treatment plans in collaboration with attending physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Monitors and assesses patient progress and adjusts treatment plans as necessary.
  • Performs and interprets diagnostic tests, including laboratory and imaging studies.
  • Administers medications, vaccines, and other treatments.
  • Assists in emergency procedures and critical care when required.
  • Provides care for patients in inpatient and outpatient settings, including emergency department and paediatric wards.
  • Participates in educational activities such as lectures, seminars, and case discussions.
  • Supervises and mentors medical students and junior residents.
  • Stays updated with the latest medical research, guidelines, and best practices in paediatrics.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient.
  • Communicates effectively with patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and care plans.
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, social workers, and other specialists.
  • Completes necessary documentation and reports related to patient care and treatment.
  • Participates in departmental meetings and contributes to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Adheres to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Engages in clinical research projects and contributes to research publications if applicable.
  • Participates in clinical trials and contributes to the advancement of paediatric medicine.
  • Performs any other task assigned by the authority.
