Summary

Education

The candidate must have a minimum graduation in Disaster Management, Geography and Environment, Environmental Science, Social Science, Geology, Environmental Studies, Climate Change, or any other discipline.

Experience

Additional Requirements

A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in disaster risk reduction or related field.
Experience in implementing Climate Change Adaptation, Mitigation, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), and Disaster Risk Management (DRM) programs.
Experience or knowledge in project management methodologies and practices for effective planning, implementation, and monitoring of disaster risk reduction initiatives.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and Geographic Information System (GIS) software to conduct more in-depth risk assessments and identification of vulnerable areas.
Familiarity with humanitarian principles and standards to ensure disaster response efforts are conducted ethically and with a focus on protecting the rights and dignity of affected communities.
Experience in working with donor-funded projects to deal with project reporting and compliance requirements.
Strong communication skills in both verbal and written English and Bangla.
Proficiency in the Chittagonian language is an added advantage.
