Responsibilities & Context

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for Modern Trade at Emami Bangladesh is a pivotal role responsible for driving the overall channel growth, managing distributor ROI, achieving secondary sales targets, and ensuring strategic planning and execution with key accounts. The RSM oversees various aspects of sales operations, including consumer promo planning, planogram design, team training, and analytics-driven insights to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overall Channel Growth: Develop and implement strategies to drive growth in the modern trade channel. Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute channel-specific initiatives.
  • Distributor ROI Management: Monitor and optimize distributor performance to maximize return on investment. Implement measures to enhance distributor efficiency and profitability. Conduct regular reviews and provide support to ensure distributor success.
  • Secondary Sales Number Achievement: Set ambitious but achievable secondary sales targets for the region. Develop sales plans and tactics to meet or exceed sales objectives. Monitor sales performance and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • JBP Planning, Signing, Execution & Ensuring Growth with Key Accounts: Lead the development and execution of Joint Business Plans (JBP) with key accounts. Negotiate and finalize terms of trade agreements with key customers. Drive collaborative initiatives to drive sales and market share growth. Consumer Promo Planning, Execution, Off-take Growth & Budget Control: Develop promotional strategies to drive consumer engagement and off-take growth. Ensure flawless execution of promotional activities in coordination with marketing teams. Monitor promotional budget utilization and optimize spend for maximum impact.
  • Planogram Design Stock Norms Hygiene at Outlet Level: Design and implement planograms to optimize product placement and visibility. Set stock norms and ensure compliance with inventory management standards. Conduct regular audits to maintain hygiene and consistency at outlet level.
  • Maintaining Performance Level 80% + of Team Members with Training: Identify training needs and develop training programs to enhance team capabilities. Monitor team performance and provide coaching and support to improve productivity. Track and report on training effectiveness and performance improvements.
  • Publishing Fortnightly, Quarterly, Half-Yearly & Annual Analytics-Driven Insights & Action Points: Analyze sales data and market trends to generate actionable insights. Prepare and distribute reports highlighting key performance metrics and trends. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement strategies based on insights.
