  • Constant alertness to engineering design risks and opportunities, including proactive intervention where required.

  • The ability to follow up and follow through on delegated instructions and tasks.
  • Fluent in the Microsoft Office suite of desktop applications and related software packages, with proficiency in MS Excel a must (proficiency in MS Project and Primavera P6 an advantage).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Product Knowledge: Understand the features and benefits of Security Surveillance and Automation products and solutions, including CCTV cameras, Access Control Systems, Alarm Systems, Home Automation, Commercial Automation, Hospitality Automation, IP telephony, Video Conferencing, Video Wall Solution, Audio Visual Solution, Fire Safety Solution, Structured Cabling, Building Management Solution and more.
  • Customer Identification: Identify potential customers and markets that would benefit from security and automation solutions. This may involve conducting market research and cold-calling potential clients.
  • Needs Assessment: Consult with customers to understand their specific security and automation needs. This involves assessing their current systems (if any) and determining areas for improvement.
  • Requirement Collection: Collecting customer’s requirement and supporting material (eg. Site report, drawing etc.) from client to make the solution proposal and price quotation effectively. Also, site visit is required (wherever applicable).
  • Solution Proposal: Develop customized security and automation proposals for clients, outlining how the products and services offered can meet their needs and enhance their security or automation capabilities.
  • Product Demonstration: Conduct product demonstrations to showcase the functionality and benefits of security and automation solutions to potential clients.
  • Quoting and Pricing: Provide price quotes for products and services, ensuring they align with the client’s budget and requirements. Participate in Tender Bid. Collect payment from customer upon successful completion of project.
  • Sales Negotiation: Negotiate terms and pricing with clients to close deals and secure contracts.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and providing excellent customer service throughout the sales process and beyond.
  • Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitors’ offerings to remain competitive in the market.
  • Reporting: Keep detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and revenue generation. Provide regular reports to management on sales performance and forecasts.
