Requirements:

-Experience: Minimum 2+ years in tender sales, with proven experience in both e-GP and manual tender processes (cable/electrical industry preferred).

– Technical Knowledge:

– Familiarity with PVC, XLPE insulation, armored vs. unarmored cables

– Understanding of power ratings, voltage levels, and cable sizing

– Knowledge of national and international cable standards (e.g., BSTI, IEC, ISO)

– Skills:

– Strong knowledge of e-GP portal operations and government procurement rules.

– Experience in handling manual tender submissions (physical document preparation, bid security, and submission procedures).

– Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

– Ability to prepare competitive financial and technical proposals.

– Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities & Context

We are looking for an experienced Cable Tender Salesman with expertise in government and private tender processes, particularly e-GP (Electronic Government Procurement) and manual tenders (newspaper-based tenders). The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of electrical and telecommunication cables. The role involves identifying tender opportunities, preparing bids, and managing client relationships to drive sales.

Key Responsibilities:

– Identify and track government and private tenders for electrical and telecommunication cables from:

e-GP portal ([www.eprocure.gov.bd](https://www.eprocure.gov.bd))

– Newspapers and government websites for manual tender opportunities

– Prepare and submit tender documents for both e-GP and manual tenders, ensuring compliance with Public Procurement Act (PPA) 2006 and Public Procurement Rules (PPR) 2008.

– Handle manual tender procedures, including purchasing tender documents, preparing physical submissions, and attending tender openings when required.

– Work closely with technical and finance teams to prepare competitive bids and proposals for:

– House Wiring Cables – PVC/XLPE insulated copper cables for residential and commercial use

– Low Tension (LT) Cables – Used for power distribution in industrial and commercial applications

– High Tension (HT) Cables – Used in power transmission and large-scale industrial projects

– Telecommunication Cables – Fiber optic and copper cables for data and communication networks

– Build and maintain strong relationships with government procurement officers, private contractors, and key stakeholders.

– Negotiate pricing and contract terms with clients and suppliers.

– Stay updated on industry trends, procurement regulations, and competitor activities.
