  • Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales reporting tools.
  • Willingness to travel to meet clients and attend industry events as needed.

Responsibilities & Context

The Sales Manager will play a critical role in driving sales and business development in the microbiology and diagnostics sector. You will be responsible for selling our range of medical equipment and instruments, with a special focus on Becton Dickinson (BD) products. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of microbiology, a proven track record in medical equipment sales, and a network within the healthcare industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market penetration for microbiology and diagnostic equipment.
  • Promote and sell Becton Dickinson (BD) products, ensuring customers are fully aware of their features, advantages, and benefits.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key healthcare professionals, laboratories, hospitals, and clinics.
  • Provide expert advice and training to clients on the use of microbiology and diagnostic equipment, particularly BD products.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to prospective clients.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends, areas for growth, and competitive activities.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to provide insights for product improvements and new offerings.
  • Attend industry conferences, workshops, and networking events to stay current on the latest trends in microbiology and medical technology.
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
