- In-depth knowledge of Denim techniques and processes.
- Strong knowledge of Denim fabrics and wash capabilities.
Responsibilities & Context
- Creating fresh, innovative and commercial designs for seasonal denim/non-denim collections.
- Selecting fabrics, washes, and finishes for the desired look.
- Developing new styles and trends in denim fashion.
- Conducting research on market trends and consumer preferences.
- Creating technical sketches and specifications for production.
- Ensuring the quality and fit of the final denim products.
- Work closely with other category designers to cross pollinate ideas.
- Outfitting, assortment balance and maintain seasonal design direction.
- Prepare for and participate in all relevant product meetings.
- Translate trends, concepts, and direction for creation of brand specific denim apparel .
