Responsibilities & Context
Extrusion and BEAD:
Production Planning and Material Management:
- Accurately follow disposals and perform material consumption calculations to ensure optimal resource use.
- Schedule production timelines for extrusion and bead processes, adjusting schedules as needed based on downstream requirements or delays.
Operational Oversight:
- Possess a working knowledge of machine operations within the extrusion and bead-making areas, with the ability to troubleshoot minor issues.
- Monitor maintenance activities and support corrective actions for breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime.
Workforce and Safety Management:
- Conduct regular workman audits to assess skill levels, task assignment, and safety adherence.
- Perform safety audits and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
Communication and Reporting:
- Maintain good interpersonal relationships with the production and maintenance teams to ensure effective communication.
- Provide clear, concise updates via email on any factors impacting production, including potential delays, maintenance issues, or safety concerns.
Production Expertise:
- Possess a thorough understanding of the extrusion and bead manufacturing areas, with knowledge of production techniques and best practices.
- Stay informed about operational improvements and recommend enhancements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
Team Leadership:
- Demonstrate leadership qualities to guide and support team members, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
- To be capable of following disposals, do material consumption calculation.
- Extrusion Schedule follow up, rescheduling if required by down Line as production areas.
- Have some basic idea about Machine operating as like tread, Bead extrusion & all measurement.Have some basic idea how to control wastage.
- To be capable of Workman auditing and safety auditing.
- Good interpersonal relation ship.
- Monitor maintenance correction & breakdown correction.
- Should have proper knowledge about Production Areas.
- Capable of communicating thru mail the key points which will affect production.
Calendering (4 Roll & 3 Roll Calender)
Production & Material Management:
- Follow all disposals related to production and handle material consumption calculations accurately.
Calendaring Schedule Management:
- Monitor and adhere to calendaring schedules; adjust and reschedule as needed to align with downstream production requirements.
Machine Operations Knowledge:
- Possess a basic understanding of machine operations for 4-roll and 3-roll calendering processes.
Workman & Safety Audits:
- Conduct regular audits on workman performance and safety compliance to ensure a safe working environment.
Interpersonal Skills:
- Maintain strong interpersonal relationships with team members and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Maintenance Oversight:
- Oversee maintenance activities, including corrective actions and breakdown rectifications, to minimize downtime.
Production Area Knowledge:
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of production areas to support decision-making and resolve issues effectively.
Communication Skills:
- Communicate key production-impacting points through email effectively to keep relevant stakeholders informed.
- Calendaring Schedule follow up, rescheduling if required by down Line as production areas.
- Have some basic idea about Machine operating.Process trouble shooting validation in various manufacturing processes – Stock Preparation (Extrusion, Calendaring, Bead Winding, etc.), Tyre building, Tyre Curing etc.
