Responsibilities & Context

  • Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services. Giving sales presentations to a range of prospective clients.
  • Communicating with principals for product specification, availability, costing and lead time.
  • Organizing principal visits to the existing clients and potential clients.
  • Promoting and selling products using solid product specifications and benefits to existing and prospective customers.
  • Answering client questions about credit terms, products, prices and availability.
  • Assisting principals and technical experts with chemical/product trials at clients’ premises; providing technical services and support.
  • Conducting market analysis; performing cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing and potential customers to meet their needs.
  • Establishing, developing and maintaining positive business and customer relationships.
  • Maintaining client records.
  • Preparing and submitting sales contracts for orders.
  • Negotiating all contracts with prospective clients.
  • Generating leads; reaching out to customer leads through cold calling and developing new businesses.
  • Expediting the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
  • Meeting or exceeding sales goals. Achieving agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
  • Coordinating sales effort with team members, marketing programs and other departments.
  • Preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports.
  • Analyzing the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports.
  • Helping determine pricing schedules for quotes, promotions, and negotiations.
  • Suppling management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Obtaining deposits and balance of payment from clients and collecting credits.
