Responsibilities & Context

East Delta University is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Executive: Library Administration to oversee the efficient functioning of our library operations. This position involves managing administrative tasks, supporting library services, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring that library resources are accessible to students, faculty, and staff. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for enhancing the academic experience through effective library services.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Providing all types of library services to the patrons of the university library at the library’s information/circulation counter

  • Assisting in selecting, developing, cataloging and classifying library resourcesInspecting returned books for condition and due-date status

  • Assisting and performing data entry in library database software with proper bibliographic information

  • Preparing a combined list of all books with accession numbers & sources which were received from different sources

  • Creating a stock-taking report when any lost materials are found with detailed information

  • Working on online resources with the Librarian/ Assistant LibrarianMonitoring library users and overseeing the upkeep of library property

  • Contributing to the formulation of library policies and procedures

  • Providing required assistance for the implementation of library events and programs

  • Preparing and assisting in preparing individual and teamwork reports

  • Helping Librarian/Assistant Librarian/Registrar/department heads to complete daily tasks

  • Ensuring operations adhere to policies and regulations & standard work environment

  • Managing all types of departmental schedules and deadlines

  • Any other tasks assigned by the management
